ATCOM Unveils Mini-ATA for VoIP

ATCOM technology, a VoIP terminals manufacturer, has released a mini ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter), designated the AG110 for the large-scale deployments of VoIP applications. Measuring 9 x 7 x 2.7cm and weighing 90g, the adapter is reportedly the smallest ATA in the VoIP market small enough to fit into a pocket or briefcase, claims the company.

In todays VoIP service market, the carriers need to give the ATAs to their customers at low or now cost to attract more users, and only become profitable with the large scale deployment. The Mini ATA AG110 devices tiny size and light weight are designed to minimize product and shipping cost.

Despite its small dimensions, the Mini ATA provides full features. It has one RJ-45 Ethernet port and one RJ-11FXS port to connect the Ethernet and analog telephone. LEDs show at-a-glance the status of the system, LAN, WAN, and phone ports. The adapter also has key features like DHCP, NAT/PAT, VAD, QoS, caller ID , Call Forward, Call Transfer compared with the normal ATAs.

The adapters user friendly web interface offers both a basic settings level and an advanced settings for the transport network. Configuration and firmware can be downloaded from a centralized TFTP or HTTP server. Not only can the adapter be used by service providers, it is also suitable for the enterprises in their IP PBX system to minimize communications costs.
